ACCOMMODATION & MEALS

Where You'll Stay

Participants in ART in Orvieto will be hosted at the Convento Dei Servi, which is home to the Studio for Art, Faith, and History of Gordon College in Wenham, MA. This newly renovated, 13th century convent is positioned in the historic hilltop Orvieto city center, just steps away from the ruins of an Etruscan temple and spectacular views of the valley below heading in one direction to Florence and the other towards Rome.

A family-style dining table, fresh homemade meals, and delicious Italian treats make up ART in Orvieto fare.

Accommodations

There will be a selection of single or double occupancy rooms available all with single beds, a desk and chair, and a private en suite bathroom with towels and bedding provided.

You will be able to indicate your room preference on your application form. We will do our best to accommodate people's preferences, but accommodation will ultimately depend on room availability at the monastery at the time of booking.

During the summer months, there is air conditioning available in some of the convent's public spaces, and dormitory rooms are all provided with fans.

Wifi is available in guest rooms and in the public spaces of this facility.

Meals

Continental breakfast is included seven days a week.

Larger communal midday meal and evening dinner is provided in the convent's refectory from Monday to Saturday for the duration of the program and is included in the program cost.

Other meal arrangements will be made for the excursions on Fridays and are also included in the program cost.

Participants will be free to make their own arrangements for their meals during the weekend, including taking advantage of the wonderful range of restaurants in Orvieto.
